Department of Home Affairs of Da Nang accelerates administrative communication skills training
On 29 December 2006, Department of Home Affairs of Da Nang city organised a technical skills training course for civil servants working at OSS of urban and rural districts, wards, communes. More than 74 civil servants working at OSS of 7 urban and rural districts and 56 wards, communes attended this training course.

The outstanding feature of this training course is the focus on communication skills training for civil servants in dealing with affairs, dossiers of organisations and individuals. This could be seen to be one of important but still limited requirements in administrative skills of cadres and civil servants currently. The training course also introduced about the OSS mechanism, one new model to improve the effectiveness of the OSS mechanism piloted successfully by People’s Committee of Da Nang city in year 2006 and planned to replicate from the second quarter of year 2007. Simultaneously, together with the introduction of the new mechanism, the training course also disseminated thoroughly the responsibility, obligations, rights and the administrative discipline according to Decision No 104/2006/QD-UBND dated 30 November 2006 of People’s Committee of Da Nang city regarding the issuance of stipulations on commending, rewarding and disciplining cadres, civil servants, public officials, administrative units, public service delivery agencies of Da Nang city in handling dossiers, affairs of organisations, individuals.

The training course has contributed to the improvement of the capability of the staff of cadres, civil servants in performing civil services and the effectiveness of the OSS mechanism implementation in state administrative units of People’s Committee of Da Nang city.
